The Jewish Community Center has been a way of life that started for me as s child. Today, the JCC remains heavily woven into the tapestry of my life, just as a home rests comfortably on its foundation for support. I feel that the JCC makes such a difference in the lives of Jewish families here in Tidewater. I put my children there for camp and preschool - and continued their education at Hebrew Academy. The JCC is about l’dor v’dor, a passing of the generational torch of lifetime experiences to our children so that they can eventually pass it to their children. It’s an energizing feeling to be involved and I encourage others to do the same.
