We are so proud of this community and what has been accomplished. It doesn’t seem to be long ago that the Jewish community center was located in an old house on Spotswood Avenue and now we have a beautiful new campus. When we were growing up, being Jewish was not something you publicized in the general community. Still, we learned from our parents that being Jewish is something wonderful, giving us meaning and purpose in our lives. We hope to pass that idea on to our children and grandchildren so that they will be proud of who they are and their heritage. For this reason, we must be accountable to the welfare of the Jewish community here and around the world.
Tikkun olam is a privilege and a responsibility taught to us by our Jewish tradition and our endowment at TJF will aid in this pursuit. We hope for a future where the world is a loving place, Jews as well as others are embraced for their differences, and Israel stands strong as a peaceful and secure homeland.
