Florence Karp

I learned about the value of tzedakah from my parents, Abraham and Elizabeth and have always been passionate about preserving Judaism in Tidewater. I have lived in this area my entire life. I grew up in Norfolk and moved to Portsmouth when I got married to Leonard in 1941.

A few years ago I created an Ezra Charitable Gift Annuity to support Temple Sinai in Portsmouth and the United Jewish Federation of Tidewater and have supported many other Jewish causes throughout my lifetime. The charitable gifts that I have made through TJF allow me to pass on my values of tzedakah -- an important way of life -- for generations to come.
