Helen was a woman committed to Jewish ideals and to the opportunity to teach those ideals to future generations. She was a proud member of Ohef Sholom Temple, a sisterhood national executive board member, a campaign chair of the Federation’s women’s division and an active supporter of Israel. She loved to play golf, was an avid gardener and traveled around the world many times over!
So many people in the community were touched by Helen's kindness and generosity as well as her vitality and spirited dedication to Judaism and women’s roles in Jewish life.
"I am deeply concerned about the future of our local Jewish organizations and believe that endowments can help secure their future. It is my pleasure to include a Lion of Judah endowment as part of my philanthropy. This endowment will support Israel and our local Jewish community every year. I believe that giving is as much a luxury as it is a responsibility. I am truly blessed to be able to give financially as well as emotionally to Jewish and other charitable causes.”
Helen left our community her legacy of inspiration and determination to live life fully and to live with commitment to purpose. May her memory be for a blessing.
