It has been asked, "How does one do Judaism?" And, it has been answered, "Step one, Find yourself a community!" We, and now our children Simon, Dustin and Erica know what it is to be raised by such community. Instilled in all of us is a nurturing, spiritual sense of belonging that is uniquely Jewish.
A rich legacy has been given to us and we are thankful to be able to carry it still further, instilling, as we do so, that moral obligation onto our children and our extended family: our Jewish community. As we have often expressed, "What causes, other than our Jewish communities and our temples, follow us from birth on, collectively educating, shaping, celebrating, uplifting, supporting and finally mourning our life's passages?"
Our endowment gift to Ohef Sholom Temple will help insure its vital presence as a leading institution for Judaism in our community. Our family's active involvement has furthered our convictions that it is indeed, as chiseled above the sanctuary's doors in 1917, "A house of worship for all peoples."
There is no better investment.
