Malcolm & Diane Rosenberg

From the early days on the UJA fundraising trail during Israel’s war of ‘67, my late husband, Malcolm, and I have been warmed by the intense sense of community spirit, commitment and Jewish philanthropy which exists within the Tidewater community. Our devoted friendships with many of Tidewater’s leaders served to engage us ever more deeply with the common values which bonded us together. In the years preceding Malcolm’s death, we became involved most seriously with Jewish Studies at Virginia Tech and subsequently the Hillel program. We realized that the Hillel programs offer our young college students their first adult opportunity to embrace their Jewish values and to enhance their Jewish literacy and identity.
